StayCharge

StayCharge by EV Drivetrain Solutions

EV charging for your guests, without the hassle

A welcoming extra you can offer and advertise, without taking on the cost or day-to-day charging work.

A charging service for B&Bs, hotels, caravan parks and GAA clubs where EVDTS covers the charger, installation and charging management. We take care of guest payments, charging questions and problems, and all electricity used by the charger is reimbursed at your agreed supply tariff.

We're opening the service to venues across Ireland. We talk through the details together and put the arrangement in writing before you decide.

An extra amenity, not an extra job

Another reason to choose your venue

Advertise EV charging alongside your other amenities. Guests with electric cars can plan a stay or visit knowing they have somewhere convenient to charge.

Costs covered, payments handled

Under the host agreement, EVDTS pays for equipment, installation and charging management, and fully reimburses charging electricity. Guest payments are taken care of — nothing to collect at reception.

Charging support is our job

If a guest has a charging or payment problem, EVDTS is their point of contact. We manage the charger and its maintenance, leaving your team free to look after your business.

A clear arrangement, at your own pace

1. See if it suits your business

A friendly conversation and a free site survey help us understand your guests, parking and electricity supply. There is no obligation and nothing is installed at this stage.

2. Everything agreed beforehand

Where the site is suitable, EVDTS covers the equipment and installation. We agree the location, electricity reimbursement and responsibilities in writing before any work begins.

3. A service managed by EVDTS

You can offer and advertise EV charging as a guest amenity. We look after driver payments, charging support and maintenance, and reimburse the electricity used by the charger.

A few things you might be wondering

How is my charging electricity reimbursed?

The charger uses your electricity supply, and EVDTS reimburses all electricity used by it at the agreed supply tariff. This covers charging electricity, not your whole property's bill. We review your bill and supplier terms together, and agree payment timing and how tariff changes are handled in writing.

To help with cash flow, we can discuss estimated advance payments over an agreed period, then reconcile them against actual metered use. This is an option to agree together, not a payment schedule already in place.

Can I advertise the charging, and who helps guests?

Once charging is installed and ready to use, you can include it on your website and guest information as an amenity at your venue. EVDTS manages charging payments, support and maintenance. Guests contact EVDTS about charging or payment problems — your team does not need to collect money, add charging to room bills or troubleshoot the charger.

What would I need to do as a host?

Provide an agreed parking space, electricity access and access for servicing, and let guests know charging is available. We check the supply tariff and your property insurer's requirements with you beforehand. Your business gains an amenity you can advertise, with charging electricity fully reimbursed and day-to-day charging care handled for you.

What about parking, installation and insurance?

The survey checks a position that works with your parking and day-to-day business. Access, responsibilities and any exit or removal terms are agreed in writing. EVDTS will obtain appropriate cover before the first installation; electrical work will be carried out and certified by a Safe Electric registered contractor. You would also confirm the arrangement with your property insurer.

Would a smaller property's supply be suitable?

7.4 kW charging is slower than a rapid charger, but it's a comfortable fit for guests enjoying a longer visit or staying overnight — their car charges steadily while they get on with their stay. A 7.4 kW unit draws up to 32 amps from a standard single-phase supply, while public rapid chargers start at 50 kW and need a three-phase connection. That's why 7.4 kW is a practical starting point for smaller properties.

Our standard unit is 7.4 kW single-phase. We check your available capacity and fit suitable load management so charging works alongside the property's other electrical needs. We plan around your existing supply so costly ESB upgrades are avoided wherever the survey shows that's possible; the survey confirms exactly what's needed before any commitment. A 22 kW unit is offered only where a compatible three-phase supply and the survey allow. Actual charging speed depends on the vehicle and available power.

What equipment is used?
Autel MaxiCharger A22 with integrated contactless payment
A compact unit combining charging and contactless payment.

We use one compact unit that handles charging and tap-to-pay together, selected to suit your supply and parking position. We specify it, install it and look after it, so you don't need to choose equipment or deal with suppliers. Guests tap to pay, and any charging or payment query comes to us rather than your team. You don't need to decide anything about equipment before talking to us.
